Russia will reduce the railway delivery of oil to Belarus
In 2013 the volume of oil supplies from Russia to Belarus will amount to 21 million tons.
This is stated in the Protocol of the meeting concerning deliveries of raw oil to Belarus from Russia in 2014, held 18 December. The document posted on the website of the concern "Belneftekhim".
All the planned volumes of oil supply to Belarus in the first half of 2014 will make 11,5 million tons. The pipeline system of OJSC "AK "Transneft" plans to pump 5 million tons of oil in the first quarter of 2014 and 5.3 million tons in the second quarter.
"Besides, if in the first half of 2014 the volume of oil supplies amounting to 11.5 million tonnes, to meet the maximum needs of Belarusian oil refineries 23 million tons of oil a technical possibility of the pipeline system of OJSC „AK ‘Transneft' in the II half of 2014 should reach 11.5 mln tons", - stated in the Protocol.
The Russian side expressed the wish that Belarus has provided a guaranteed supply of gasoline in the period of seasonal demand for petroleum and holding mass repairs of oil refining capacities in Russia. It is about the supply of 100-110 thousand tons of oil products a monthly basis in the same periods. Besides, the Belarusian side is to prepare proposals to transfer maintenance stops in Belarusian refineries from may-August 2014 for another time.
The Protocol also reported that the Belarusian party is requested to increase the volume of transportation of oil in the first quarter of 2014 in the direction of JSC „Naftan" on 300 thousand tons at the expense of reduction of railway transport and the inclusion of the amounts of the subsidiary company Беларуснефти" OJSC „NK ‘Янгпур' in the schedule of transportation of oil.
By the end of 2013 expected oil supplies from Russia to Belarus will amount to 21 million tonnes, including increased by 750 thousand tons of deliveries of oil in IV quarter of the current year. Of this amount to 19.3 million tons of oil will be pumped by the pipeline transport, 1.7 million tons was delivered by rail.
According to the national statistics Committee, in January-October 2013 Russia supplied to Belarus 17,88 million tons of oil, that on 1,7% is more, than for 10 months of 2012. Value of the supply increased by 1.1% up to USD 7 million 006,3 If in 2012 Belarus additionally purchased 330 thousand tons of oil from Venezuela, in 2013 of delivery of crude oil were made only from Russia.
The volume of deliveries of oil products from Belarus to Russia in January-October 2013 amounted to 1.03 million tons, which is 5.6 times higher than the export volume for 10 months in 2012. Value of the supply has increased 5.3 times to USD 657,7 million Russia is the fourth in the cost volume buyer of Belarusian oil products after the Netherlands (USD 3 143,1 million), Ukraine (USD 2 386,7 million) and Italy (USD 680,4 million).
